Review | Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation | £31.00

Foundations seem to be featuring a lot on my blog lately, I'm not entirely quite sure why. I've just been trying quite a few new ones out over the past year or so. When I was younger I used to just stick to the same foundation as I knew it worked quite well for me and I wasn't in a position where I could buy a different foundation whenever I felt like it, it was until about 2014 that I even tried a high end foundation. As I've grown older I've come to be able to try more and more new foundations, new brands, new finishes and new formulas.

I'm not sure if you are aware but I have combination skin. I don't tend to have break outs, I'm quite lucky with that really. I may get one or two around my time of the month but that's all. I get quite an oily T-Zone and occasionally around my eyes, cheeks and nose I can get some dry patches, nothing major though and nothing a little bit of moisturiser doesn't fix.

A foundation I had wanted to try for the longest time was the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. So many people, both bloggers and friends had recommended it to me but honestly, I think it was the price tag that was scaring me a little. I was then a little silly and didn't even bother to go and get a foundation match, I just guessed... Luckily for me I chose the perfect shade. I'm not sure how I was so lucky but I must say I did a lot of research before making the purchase and for me it paid off, but I would advise you go get a match before you make the purchase or ask your local counter for a sample to see if it's the perfect foundation for you. I got the shade 1W1 Bone.

Estee Lauder claim that Double Wear is a medium coverage foundation, I believe it is more of a medium to full coverage foundation as it easily covers all my flaws/blemishes in one easy application. It makes my skin look flawless and natural with the perfect amount of a glow. Estee Lauder also claim that Double Wear is a long lasting foundation, something I agree 100% with. It lasts perfectly all day with no need for a touch up.

A few people I've spoken to have said this was too heavy on the skin and felt too thick but I don't see that at all. For me, it truly creates a perfect base which I completely and honestly love. It's perfect for this time of year too and I tend to wear a lot of high neck tops/jumpers and lot's of scarfs and there are no transfers which is amazing.
